TRACK AND FEEL II @ 8:00pm, Music starts promptly at 8:30pm
###########################################
Rochester Chip is a monthly series of events dedicated to promoting artists and groups who use the sound chips of retro computers and video game consoles to create new original music. This exciting and often experimental form of electronic music repurposes devices such as Nintendo Gameboys and Atari 2600s as synthesizers and sequencers to create exciting new compositions in a wide array of genres.
This month we are proud to welcome :
OVENRAKE (seattle) - ovenrake produces dance and hip hop music that will be featuring MC Easy Street (SEA). Prepare for awkward banter, a dingoo, and some gameboys that may convert a few wallflowers.
BLEO (geneva) - B.LEO makes textural funk using piggy tracker!
SWEAT (geneva) - a project that includes dreamy synths mixed with harsh percussion samples to create an emotional garage-inspired sound
DJ NICKY MAY MAY (rochester) - epic spacey synth rock. with guitar solos.
###########################################
Come @ 8pm and we’ll be playing TRACK AND FEEL II, the new “cooperative, interactive, glitch-art installation” created by Party Time! Hexcellent! One user operates the power pad floor mat while the other uses a standard NES controller to create wonderful glitchy music and visuals together.
